These are cutting room floor tracks. I am a BIG fan of Jill Scott, but these are not her best works. They are alright, but "Light of the Sun" CD is WAY Better! Love the "Lovely Day" classic , seemed a little flat for her.
Love the songs better on this album and not Light of the Sun so much...

I was not aware that Ms. Scott had beef with Hidden Beach. So I bought this album thinking it was the new joint. Love most of the songs on here. I also think this is a better album than the Light of the Sun project. I was just perusing the other album and have yet to find a cut I really want to buy. Usually with a Jill Scott album you buy the entire sound. Not so much on that other album. And I don't feel l'm betraying her by saying that on here.

This album is heaps and bounds better than 'The light of the Sun' and really takes you back to the Jill Scott of 2000 that a lot of us fell in love with. Amazing release.

As expressed by others, I hated to support Hidden Beach on this project; however, I LOVE JILL SCOTT and wish that she could have benefitted from this. In here words she is so much prettier when she lets it go (if you purchased this album, you know what that means).... She will continue to grow and rise to her highest potential. I wish her "Peace and Blessings."
