I admit that I'm a true fan of JS. She is so uniquley soulful. Anything she puts out is hot. Especially this song..Lovely Day. It is a feel good song and she could not have put a sweeter spin on it. Do you Jill!!

After the big dispute with her old label, Hidden Beach is releasing rare & unreleased tracks Aug 30, 2011 "From the Vault Vol1" .. Some of these songs probably didn't make on any of her CD's. Some were on soundtracks like the song "Comes To the Light". I heard a sample of the CD...Still the songs are good and typical Jill Scott. So all the critics of "Lovely Day" ...chill. How much more can you do to a remake without destroying the integrity of the original song?

You can put this in the ranks of the Michael Jackson songs that he didn't want released. This song is from HIdden Beach's vault. I don't think Jilly was finished with the song or maybe it was a throw-away song. Hidden Beach is not happy about Jill's departure. In an attempt to get some paper, they are releasing this and other songs that she worked on earlier from their archives. Her new stuff (that seemed to be perfected) is being released via Warner Brothers. It was released today June 21st. I have plenty of songs that will never get released on my hard drives. The reason: This songs are garbage. I produced them and decided that I wasn't feeling them. My second album "Searching For Morning" had a different track listing initially.

Hey people. Jill Scott is suing Hidden Beach, these recordings are being released wihtout her blessing. She proably didn't like the songs either which is why she never relesed them She is now on Warner Brothers! I am not buying these singles because they are being put out by Hidden Beach.

So this won't be added to my favorite Jilly songs list. She put it out there with her own approach and you have to love any artists creativity; we all know it's the eye of the beholder!
