Good Morning Heartache is a very slow, jazzy song. Love Rain (Coffee Shop Mix) is my favorite on here, because it definitely added a little something special to the original. 8 Minutes to Sunrise is lovely; Jill's voice beautifully fades in and out underneath Common's raps.

I wish there was more albums like this. And Will Smith makes an AMAZING comeback in this album too.

Jill Scott shows versatility, and pure, unadulterated talent. Not only does she bring her best, but she joins with some of the best artists of various styles to create a truly rich audio experience. I like collaboration albums, and this one has me smiling inside and out. Thank you, Jill.

  • A Must-Have for Music Lovers

The rave reviews here are totally justified. This is without question one of the best ten albums I have ever purchased. Her vocals are perfection whether she's backing Lupe Fiasco or Common on a hip-hop groove, showcasing her scatting ability on "Kingdom Come," or taking on the delicate and romantic "One Time." Yes, the beats are fairly slow and several tracks are available on other albums, but if you want an introduction to one of the best female soul artists working today this whole album is sure to please.

The way our culture should produce music. This is a must buy for everyone.

I do not know why everyone is hating on this, I have it and like it a lot. Some of the newer songs definitely exemplify a different sound that some old Jill Scott fans might not be used to, but it is still good non the less. It is important to note that not all these songs are new. My personal favorites are "Daydreamin'" a collaboration with Lupe Fiasco & "Let Me" with Sergio Mendez. Overall this album does have a jazzy feel to it but it is very soothing and nice to listen to. I wouldn’t buy it here though for 12 dollars.
  • HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

Honestly, this album/CD is a huge disappointment. Jill Scott is the essence of beauty, spirituality, and sensuality. Jill Scott is capable of inspiring the poor, uneducated, disheartened urbanites who the world views as a cancerous society. Unfortunately, this album is both a waste of time and money. No longer are we deciphering her lyrics as the Old Testament or Koran, and incorporating them into our daily lives to become better individuals. We are now forced to listen to second-rate pop/rap tunes. If only iTunes gave refunds! Jill we need you. Come back home and inspire the forgotten. Ezra

I just truly enjoy Ms. Scotts' voice. She could probably sing the "ABC" song with a Jill Scott twist and I would like it!! These collaborations are wonderful, a "must have" for your music collection.
