This CD is full of great dance music. Most of it is thumping energy, great to dance or workout to. This is one of my favorite Bananarama CD's. I especially like You've Really Got Something, Time Out, System, Prove Your Love, and Don't Stop Me Now, but all the songs are good. There's not a bad track on this CD.

I rediscovered Ultra Violet when going through my cd collection. This was one of my favorites of theirs and still sounds good today. Why does not iTunes carry DRAMA??? I had to download it from their site, and I even bought a import copy at Tower. The girls deserve better. I love their " I do not give a sh@t" attitude in their videos and hope that one day they get the respect they are entitled to as artists and video stars. :)

I love so many songs on this album. Some of the stand outs are: Every Shade of Blue, Take me to your heart, Don't Stop Me Now, Time out, System, but absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Maybe the Next Time. I only wish iTunes would bring Bananarama's new album DRAMA for download. I love my iMac, my iPod, and iLove my Bananarama. Help a girl out, wouldja???
  • A Bananarama classic

Probably their best effort as a duo (until 2005's "Drama"), "Ultra Violet" is chock full of dance tracks. Sounding very much like Italian house music that was popular in 1996 (Corona's "Rhythm of the Night", etc.) this Banarama effort succeeds where "Please Yourself" was lacking. "Every Shade Of Blue", the cds first single had chart success in many countries, as did the follow up, "Take Me To Your Heart". Stand out tracks are "Rhythm of Life", "Prove Your Love", "System", "You've Really Got Something", and "Time Out". My favorite track though is the obscure "I Found Love". Produced by a Japanese producer/fan, the original version was a bunch of beeps and boops. Apparently Bananarama had Gary Miller remix the track for this release (with some of the original audible). This track, with it's heavy bassline, and hypnotic orchestration is fantastic.
