Masquerade

This is my favorite Bananarama album of the past 30 years! This duo hasn't sounded this good since they were a trio. The vocals are flawless and there are beautiful harmonies throughout. My favorite tracks are "Stay Wild", "Masquerade", "Let's Go Outside" and "Waiting for the Sun to Shine". If you are a longtime fan, you will not be disappointed. If you are unfamiliar with Bananarama, then this is a great time to get acquainted. It is the perfect summertime album!

Bananarama continues to turn out great music! The entire album is a winner! I still hold a bit of hope that Shuv or Jaquie will come back to the fold even just for one album. Perhaps a single for charity,,,do four covers on an EP!!! If you get the chance to catch them live,,,,DO IT!!! They bring the house down!!!

What an amazing upbeat album. Some of my most favorite tracks are the ones that have not been released, or been released yet. They all have a great story to tell, do it with enthusiasm, and keep you moving. Great job!!!

I've been a fan since Deep Sea Skiving way back when and over the years, there have been some incredible hits and songs. When In Stereo arrived for pre-order, I did so immediately. From the first time I listened, I loved every song and have grown to love them even more over time. Just purchased Masquerade and I feel the same way. Thrilled that all tracks on both LP's are dance oriented and have just the right amount of BPM's. New music without explicit lyrics is always refreshing as IMO, not needed to make good music. I just compiled my playlist for the car with both LP's flipped back and forth between songs which I'd say is a very happy mix. Looking forward to remixes and future releases.

I'm fortunate enough to be old enough to have followed Bananarama from their days of "It Ain't What You Want" and "Shy Boy", to "Venus" and "Love in the First Degree", thru "Movin' On" and "Last Thing on My Mind", past "Move in My Direction" and "Hypnotic Tango", and onto "Love in Stereo". In their four decades together, they've probably recorded more instantly recognizable songs than any other female group in history. Their songs have dominated the dance clubs for over 40 years now, a longevity only matched by a few other groups (notably Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran and Erasure). "Masquerade" marks a turning point for the girls: the album is, at it's heart, simply a glorious collection of songs, each of which will make you move in a slightly different way. But, unlike their past ventures, "Masquerade" is an elegant, beautifully polished release with both lush instrumentation and layered vocals reminiscent of their 2009 cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence". Still in perfect harmony, Keren and Sara continue to prove that age hasn't diminshed their ability to create memorable music. Standout tracks (for me) include "Masquerade", "Favourite" and what I consider the album's best song -- "Stay Wild". Of course, every track is amazing, and this will be one of 2022's most worthwhile purchases. K & S: If you read this, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come do a show in NYC!

Masquerade is superb music that you hear it only once a while in the music world, great job Bananarama!
