As much as I'd love to say I've heard the whole album and I'm in love, I definitely can't. I stumbled upon Mr. Bird unintentionally when someone chose 'Pulaski at Night' as the background music of a video edit. However, the instrumental in 'Pulaski at Night' is something I hold very, very close to my heart. It makes me feel happy and it reminds me of Hobbits and Irish people and pubs and disheveled hair. It's simply gorgeous. Thank you, Mr. Bird, for your genius and I do plan on listening to the rest of your songs as I am deeply in love with the one I know.

I have recently been very stressed, I've had tons of mental breakdowns, my social anxiety has gotten the best of me, and my confidence has plummeted. When I hear the song Pulaski at Night that all changes. I'm no longer moody and grumpy, I'm happy instead. I see myself in a better way and I just have fun, not carrying about what others think. This song has helped me so much.

A CD that must be listened from start to finish for it is an epic journey of coming to a conclusion to change one's life and location, well, at least that's what I got out of it. To each their own.

It's a beautiful mix between the violin in Noble Beast, and the reverb in Break It Yourself. It sort of reminds me of Music of Hair with more of a nostalgic feeling. Regardless I'm in love. Thanks Birdmeister.

What is a Pulaski and why is it better at night? I adore his work and have listened to and loved most of it. This however is a tad "not up to his usual standards."
  • Simply lovely, per usual

Amidst the mass of sounds out there, some of which is hard to call music, and mind you I am speaking more of what is played on the radio than anything, there comes along Andrew Bird and with each record the evoking of feeling and emotion. It should never be taken for granted just how important artists like Andrew are to keeping the art of music alive and full of integrity. When I encounter someone who has reached the point of feeling that music is dead, I confidently point them in the direction of Mr. Bird. At no point in his career has there been anything less than amazing, and this latest one is no exception. From a equipment geek’s standpoint, I get a bit tickled to hear the switches on his Line 6 DL4 pedal being clicked on track one. Bravo Mr. Bird, bravo.

I want more songs similar to “Pulaski at Night.” Though, I cannot listen to “Pulaski at Night” without first playing “Logan’s Loop.” They fit together so well. Let’s start it over.
