I consider the day I ran across this groups song "Headlights" on Facebook to be on of my most pivotal days as a person. I had no idea about the inspiration and wonder that would follow in the next few years. Give this group a listen and also check out Vocal Few, it's the lead singer and his wife.

Although I love Albatross, this cd sounded a bit more refined. All of the songs are sung with passion and have deep lyrics. I love this album because I can listen to it while experiencing any mood and still be impacted by it. Every track on this album is worth listening to (as usual with their cds). However, Abracadavers seems to steal the spotlight of this album for me. With each album, the band gains more depth; I have not been disappointed with any album they have released.

So I've had this album for 4 yrs or so and The Classic Crime is most definitely one of my favorite bands. The soul and thought that they put into their music is inspiring, and this album is certainly no exception. As a whole, the album tells a story of desperation and redemption, beginning from the first song and ending at the last. Each song on it's own also tells a beautiful story with honest, raw, thought-provoking words. Individually or together, the songs are all top notch. My favorites are "Salt In the Snow" and "The Beginning (A Seed)." You can't go wrong with this album.

I was first introduced to The Classic Crime with their Phoenix album. What a vast difference! I love Phoenix, but there's a certain grit to this album that has me hooked. My favorite song is Grave Digging because I come from a heavy 80s metal background. To hear the guitar solo after only ever hearing Phoenix era Classic Crime was a true eye opener. 5805's 3/4 piano rhythm is excellent and really shows that great songs can be written in something other than 4/4! I'll leave the in depth review to long time fans that know the band better. If you are looking for something refreshing in the vast world of Rock, you will not be disappointed by this album.
