In the Sun / I Can Hear Music - Single

the idea of this band is nice. the reality however is monotone and sleepy. i cant listen to more than 1 song without getting tired and bored. i'm sorry to say this because i expected more from zooey. i was a fan of her acting, and she has a lovely voice. the overall sound is disappointing.

Zooey beautiful voice, Matt gives his nice rustic sound to the voulume two ablum as well. PURE HEAVEN! i was pretty hooked on Theives and I Can Hear the Music, but the whole ablum is incredible that i can no longer chose a favorite. great covers and great original tracks. Their music will always leave you smiling. I wish they got atleast half the coverage untalented popcrap gets like miley cyrus or selena gomez * GAG * thank you M.Ward and Zooey for bringing some real music to the table <3 <3

Ok, so, Zooey Deschanel is my favorite actress. I love her!!! Her voice is so original and I love the sound of it. Keep singing!!

Just love Zooey & Matt. There is such an underlying happiness. They're style of music has a classic retro vibe that reminds me of the music my mom listened to when I was little except it's fresh & has it's own unique twist. Zooey's voice is just as amazing as Matt's guitar work. They are definitely my fav group. Just love them.

From what I have heard of their new album, She & Him knows when they have a good thing going, not to mess with the formula too much. The single is strong, but the cover of The Beach Boys hit "I Can Hear Music" is too much like the original. They are not the only band guilty of this, but I would have liked them to really change up the song. Anyway, expect more of the same from She & Him. Must be why they called it Volume Two.

Sweet Jesus! How could it NOT be? Talk about low expectations! This is a not totally unpleasant but very mediocre offering. They should be able to top this with their eyes closed.

'I Can Hear Music' was originally recorded by the Ronettes, then by The Beach Boys and then by Freddie Mercury. It's obiviously a great song, since so many memerable artists have covered it, but She & Him's actually seems a bit lackluster. I don't usually dis S&H since they are one of my favorited bands to come around recently, but I have to be honest. Zooey sounds like she's droning it. It's a boring rendition of a great song. On a more positive note: I LOVE 'In the Sun!' That's the S&H I love. Upbeat, breezy songs that make you want to roll down the windows in your car and sing along. This song suits Zooey's voice fantastically. And never forget M. Ward's amazing quitar skills! I give this EP a four, because as much as I don't like S&H's rendition of 'I Can Hear Music,' 'In the Sun' makes up for whatever the former was lacking. Can't wait for the new album!

Watch out! These two (Zooey and M. Ward) are gonna take off like a rocket heading for outer space! There songs ring with joyful-ness and have a groovy swag to them, overall i'd say BUY THIS NOW!

I love how Zooey sounds like she popped right out of a 30's musical! Even if she sings "newer" songs than that! When I first listened to their music i wasn't too sure bit I got the cd anyways and totally fell in love. That's something a noticed about their music: it has to grow on you but once it does you're hooked! I got my country/hick sister into them and my mom--but she'll listen to just about anything I do

She's voice is just classic and can we just take a moment of scilence for the amazing cover art ...ok now him's beautiful guitar strums just makes it all so crispy and wonderful. I really love when she does covers but they have amazing songs I wish to sing one of them on karaoke night but the machine doesn't know she and him..but they betta recognize lol ok well thank you she and him for amazing music I'm still addicted to the first album...relapse!!
