  • They’ve gotten lazy

I’ve been a big fan from the start but everything they’ve done lately, including this, is so lazy and lackluster sounding.
  • This is going to be fun!!!

I'm looking forward to this album as She & Him have already established a track record of covering Brian Wilson & The Beach Boys. M. Ward has a great instrumental version of "You Still Believe in Me" from his solo 2005 album Transistor Radio. Later, he covered a vocal version of "You're So Good To Me" on More Rain (2016). As a group they first released a cover single of "I Can Hear Music" in 2010. For A Very She & Him Christmas in 2011, they offered up a twofer with "Little Saint Nick" and "Christmas Day." The beautiful "God Only Knows" followed in 2014. And then She & Him were featured on "On The Island" for Brian Wilson's solo No Pier Pressure in 2015. It's been too long since the last release of a good Brian Wilson cover from She & Him, but based on their track records, this is going to be fun and on time for the Summer! Can't wait to get the album and see them in concert. Finally, if you're here because you're a Brian Wilson/Beach Boy fan, you must also check out Alexandra Arrieche & Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra, The Seven Symphonies with a classic crossover take on over 30 of their songs in 7 parts, which is also released in 2022.
