Buy this album instead of Taylor Swift's new one. You get just as many songs for a lower price and the songs have much better quality and lyrics.

Zooey has got a great voice. A serious talent. M. Ward's vocals are kind've boring, but he's got some great instrumental skill. Overall, I'm mostly not feeling it. I want to like this album more, but I can't shake the feeling that it could be better. There's nothing unpleasant about it, but nothing very exciting either. About 70% of them didn't make the cut to keep in my collection. Most of these songs have a 50's feel to them mixed with a Country & Western vibe and it's just kinda boring. It's Tammy Wynette singing doo wop and it's not my genre. Maybe more interesting songs just don't match her vocal niche, which is a shame. I also hate annoying back-up singers and this album has the worst sort of them. Occasionally some songs will sound almost like Camera Obscura - and that's the part of She & Him that I like. Camera Obscura will also occasionally have 50's sounding songs and those are my least favorite of their songs as well. Obscura has a very subtle hint of sensuality in their music, however, and that's what makes them so much more interesting.

So good! Zooey has the most amazing voice. Of course some songs are better than others but that's how it is with a anyone else's album.

Their style is very different from most songs today, but the more you listen to them the more you get hooked. The songs are catchy, and the lyrics are fun. I love this album, and volume two is just as good if not better.

Garbage. M. Ward is so much better on his own. Zooey only detracts from his talent. I wish I could give 0 zeros, or better yet, negative.

I think she has so Etching sweet and special that is lost in girls today. I am a national spokesperson and I use her music in between my breaks to keep the crowd happy. I love you Zooey!

This is a great She & Him album, but is weaker than Volume Two, sadly! But it still is awesome! Key Tracks: Sentimental Heart, Why Don't You Let Me Stay Here?, and Sweet Darlin'
