An ode to the Pink Floyd style. The Secret Machines delivered on this album, making it a trip that is about the journey and not the destination. Let this album take you on a ride.
  • Best band on earth! Pink Floyd's reincarnate!

I got into this band after seeing them live in Dallas about 5 yrs ago. They blew me away! I couldn't help but compare them to my fav band of all-time Pink Floyd. Its really more like a Pink Floyd meets Rush meets Radiohead kind of sound but still totally original itself. I can see this band taking rock to the next level. I sure hope so!

I really didn't like thse guys at first, but a few listens later and I was hooked. There are a lot of comparisons to Pink Floyd, which ok sometimes, but no, not really. These guys have there own style going on as well. A very fresh sounding rock group playing some sounds of the 70's and today. These guys also sounded amazing live...you know, if your into that whole "wall of guitar sound" thingy. This is "psychedelic pop rock".
  • Speechless.

This album renders me speechless. So beautiful. D'load, "Lightning Blue Eyes," and, "I Hate Pretending," right now. No, seriously. Go do it. Now.
  • It's a mixed bag.

I always find myself listening straight through the first 3 tracks. Those are absolutely great. Then I always seem to skip over or get bored with 4 through 6. And then I love the last 2 tracks to death. But that's just me.
  • good stuff

as an album, i dont think its quite as strong as previous albums, but there are quite a few high points in this collection. my personal favorites are i hate pretending and alone, jealous, and stoned. this album definately takes a bit of a quieter, laid back tone than now here is nowhere, and rightly so. the inspiration for the album comes from the band's loneliness when they return home to new york and realize that all their friends have moved on, etc. in response to that, the album is a bit slower, reflective, and calm. it's a bit of a change for them, but it shows a bit of a different side of them, different, but good.
  • Even better

I love Now Here is Nowhere, but I think this album is better. More complex melodies, better lyrics, better drumming. It doesn't jump out of the box as fast as NHIN, but it grew on me over months of listening. And if you have the chance to see them live, this is one of those bands that I'd see five nights in a row. Truly intense, especially if you catch them in their theater in the round setup.
  • Impressive
