If this song is any indication of things to come, the new Secret Machines album will potentially be one of the best mainstream indie releases of 2006. However, like anything else in life, sometimes the appetizers are better than the main course. In this situation, I will reserve judgment while anxiously awaiting the release of their new album. Taken only as a single, this song is certainly impressive and worthy of all the accolades.

Not as heavy on the drums which attracted me to SM in the first place, but still a great song. They are clearly evolving, hopefully for the better.

As with anony, I too have a copy of the new cd, and like he said, it is much better than the single. If you've seen them on tour recently then you've heard some of there new songs and I'll tell you that you're in for a surprise. It is much more popier than there last EP. This song is a must buy, but go for the new album as well..whenever it hits itunes shelves.

after hearing this song, i can't wait for the new album. on this song the secret machines are further exploring what they do best; making music that connects with the sounds that resonate deepest in all of humanity. the melody and rhythm all collide to create a fantastic new world. i've looked at a couple of these reviews, and honestly they're just not getting it. i've seen the secret machines twice live (1. w/ interpol, 2. w/ kings of leon) and they are even better at their shows than their albums allude to. they create new universes with their music. its really an amazing journey with music as the vehicle.

This track is amazing. Sweeping, melodic, just plain awesome. These guys really are in a league of their own. Not quite as poppy as their Now Here Is Nowhere release, but great nonetheless. It reminds me more of their earlier stuff, i.e. September 000. But at the same time, they seem to have matured their sound. Take my word for it, this band is going to have a HUGE 2006!
