Hunting High and Low

I loved this song the first time I heard it. Morten Harket is highly underrated as a singer. I only saw this video once when it was first aired and still remember it 20 years later. I alway felt it was a shame that other Americans dismissed this group. I continued to follow this group and am glad I did. I have always enjoyed them.

When I was a kid, my music teacher had us listen to all kinds of music with our eyes closed and visualize the music in our minds. When this song came out, I could visualize without the need to close my eyes. The song has the ability to move emotions and brings together a story which could come out of the novel "Wuthering Heights". Morten's voice is almost haunting and the lyrics captivating. The collaboration of the strings gives this track magnificence. I am not a music critic, but someone that has valued music since I was a young child. I feel that this was probably their best track during the 80's.
