Rise is honestly amazing. The episode itself was completely horrid. I feel like it should have been about the warblers and new directions combining and told more of their story. It really would have made the song 10 times better just because we would have more of a connect with it..

Unbelievably bad episode - there’s no doubt that this show reached its apex a few seasons ago, but this episode is the absolute worst ever! Other than Rise, there is nothing to recommend this EP! Good job Darren Criss - could be a megastar if the right parts come along, and he makes the right decisions! From interviews of him I’ve seen, he’s one of the more articulate and centered actors around! So the second star is for him.

"Rather Be" is a pretty good cover that I will purchase. "Rise" is an okay original song too, though I'm not as wild about it as everyone else. I wish I could blank out everything that happened in this episode between the opening and closing numbers though, because seriously, that was awful.
Rise is just what I needed!

Always been a fan of Glee even during seasons the public thought it wasn't the best...Darren's song was amazing and it came at a perfect time when I needed it the most...bravo Darren, bravo!
