Really one of the best comedians out there right now. I really enjoy all her work but this CD includes her workplace comedy. My co-worker and I listen to it on our hour long commute to work and just crack up the whole way... "Things run a little different around here..."

I would so join Maria's cult. She is great. I love her so much. You rock Maria. This album is one of the true great comedy albums. If you're not sure, buy it. If you're not satisfied, you can personally blame it on me.

Maria is better live and in color, when you can see her facial expressions, although still hugely funny and worth a listen.

This download was disappointing only because so much of the same material is on the Comedy Central video download and the other CD title. Only small parts of certain bits and a few bits at the end are different.
Maria is great, and I'm a big fan, but she should really take this title off the market or else post a warning about the duplicated content. (I mean, would you want to buy a music CD that was 85% the same as another CD by the same band you already own? Or 85% "alternate takes"?) I would recommend you buy the Comedy Central video first, because Maria's "faces" are almost as important as her "voices" to the your enjoyment. (She should do more video.) Second, download "How To Win." "How To Win" is more recent, and her delivery of these jokes improved between 2003 and 2007.
If you have both of those things, then this one's only for stalkers. It's still good, mind you, but given the duplication I wish I could get my money back.

So I had seen the Maria Bamford Comedy Central special multiple times, and always found the girl to be charming and more importantly, hysterical. The control she has over her voice makes her stories more believable, and the punchlines all the more effective. I decided to get her comedy album, and was thankfully not disappointed. Most of the material from her half-hour stint on Comedy Central appears on the album, but just as the television show stays funny after multiple showcases, so too does the CD.
A great buy, and a comic I'd keep my eye on.
