There are few albums that you can listen to front to back, without skipping at least a few duds, but this album isn't one, it's a front to back album. Every song on this album is good to great. It sounds like a follow up to Rhythm of Youth, as if they recorded it in 84 or 85. It's just outstanding if you love MWH and 80's new wave, synth pop. Devil Comes Round is a really hard, driving song - excellent. And there are too many other great songs to single out - Head Above Water, Live and Learn, Close to the Sun, Love in the Age of War. This album was the single biggest musical surprise I've had in ages. I didn't even know MWH had released this album (and five years ago already?!) but trust me, it's a great listen.
  • Just found out in 2016......

Why I didn't I know in 2012 men with out hats had a new album. Down loaded it, and man..... I have rhythm of youth and now both complement each other. For those of us in are youth in the early 80s,we listened and loved rhythm of youth. And now in our......never mind.....any way.. Love every song on the album , and that is rare to say. Great album , a must have. Let the Synthesizers play on!!! Sorry, just came out.

This is an incredibly strong album. In so many ways a brilliant continuation of Rhythm of Youth. Just fantastic. Thanks, Ivan, for bringing the magic back!

This is a great album. I caught this album on Spotify and now it is part of my collection. They have the same beat and rhythm similar to their previous Rhythm of Youth. Took a while to make for this group to come out with a worthy album (or any album), but they sure made it out was great A very nice surprise.

I’m liking this considerably more than their 80’s output. How did it take me nearly 2 and a half years to find out this existed? It’s richer, more nuanced, and more mature, but it’s lost none of what I enjoyed about them back in the day. “Closer tot he Sun” is giving me chills as I write this. Buy this album!

WIth the exception of every beat sounding exactly the same in the upbeat songs, this is a wonderful catchy album with lots of great melodies.
  • Oh thank GOD for MWH
