I was in junior high/high school in the 80s, and I HATED pretty much all pop music I was exposed to by my shallow, tasteless peers (as you might have guessed, I was an extremely snobby classical musician-in-training). I hated myself when I fell in love with Safety Dance - it was that synth octave that snared me. Anyway, in secrecy I purchased Rhythm of Youth. I flipped when _Folk of the 80s_ came out; I must have listened to that album a 100 times in the first month.
Now I admit it (as an all trained-up classical musician): I really, really love Men Without Hats. I still have the LP, but it's really worn, so it's excellent to finally have a clean digital copy. Yay!
