    He was one of the very first to use the vocoder and did a nice job. Other musicians try to take credit for it, but he was a pioneer. Nice album to relax to.

    Funky and melodic and harmonically beautiful, his specialty. Even though Mr. Hancock admitted himself (with regard to the Grammy winning River project) that lyrics aren't his thing, on this album he created a unique sounding voice through his trusty vocoder and delivered a great vocal part, lyrics and all. Even after getting into his later, more complex and intellectual (or so I think) music, going back to the 70s and listening to this is still fun. 'Come running to me.' gets me every time. (And thanks Apple for putting this up...I know I requested it at some time or another.)
