Wonderful Willie

This was actually the first studio album of Willie's that I got into, so I will always be fond of it. Not a weak track here. Anyone else would be luck to record songs as good as these in their entire career, but Willie did it all on one album! A great place to start your Willie Nelson catalog.

As another reviewer already wrote, this is an excellent album. The musicians are all on the same wave length, like members of a football team who have played for a long time together and, thus, have great chemistry. Moreover, the sound quality is excellent. On the Funny How Time Slips Away track, I felt that I was listening to a vinyl record and not a digital file. On the track you can hear the kick drum and the plucking of the bass strings as if it were a vinyl recording.
One of Willie's absolute Best

Coming on the heels of Red Headed Stranger, The Sound in Your Mind only gets better with time. His band shines and his performances are among the best of his career. There isn't a bad song on this CD. If I had to recommend only one Nelson CD, this would be the choice, even above Stardust and Stranger. It is Willie at his awesome best.
