Reviews

  • A good mix

This is not the strongest of the Soul Asylum albums and it signaled the start of their decline, though I still loved it. Dave Pirner's angst is palpable but still intensely melodic and most of the songs are strong. The first three and Cradle Chain are the best if you can't afford the whole thing.

This cd is better than most Soul Asylum Cd's But I wasn't blown away.. Most of the songs are better than average, but like i said in the title, it's not THAT good. My Favorite Song is No "Time For Waiting". you should buy that song. Most of the songs sound alike, buy "Draggin the lake" and if you like it purchase the album because that's what the rest of the songs sound like besides "Time for Waiting" which seems to be like rock instead of Soft rock. Most of these songs i consider just filler, (but not in a bad way) i'd rate this album a B- . I suggest you should buy the album "The Silver Lining" by Soul Asylum. It's my personal favorite and it seems every song is good. :]
