however it’s missing the song “ Big Beautiful Bottom in My Face” released as b-side single to “ Don’t Don’t Tell Me No” (for Germany of course) If you’re a Sophie aficionado it’s a must have and a rare find;-)

I remember buying this album when I was a kid because I loved the song "As I lay me Down." Great album then, and it's a great album now!

...i used to have this tape way back when it first came out .....though i really don't like the big hit "as i lay me...", this is an amazing album. i can remember listening to it as a pubescent little gay boy in the burbs and the puzzled look my parents would give me when they heard it blaring from my room. Rediscovering it nearly a decade and a half later, i'm just as impressed now. as soon as im done enjoying this one front to back on my day off, i'm definitely gonna check out her more recent efforts. this girl is great, hope she never stops despite levels of mainstream popularity.

Sophie does not let down with Whaler. With a cult following (which should be much larger) she sings from the depths of her soul. The thing is people, Sophie has real talent, truly beautiful vocals and instrumental knowledge. I am a fan of today's pop music; but there are few that can do what Sophie does. Her songs can reach any gender, any age, any person. My sister introduced me years ago and I have rediscovered music that is fresh sounding as if it were just recorded. Give it a listen and Sophie will be a fave on your Ipod.

This album I liked better than her first. Right Beside you, Don't tell me no, As I lay me Down, Did we not choose each other are the best, but all are really very good.

A great follow -up to Tongues and Tails, but where is the rest???? The lyrics are a bit more watered down and not as dirty, but I Need Nothing Else is probably the dirtiest. Still, Sophie sings of lust and wanting along with her wailing and this is a great album- just wish all of it was here for the rest of the ituners.
