This album is a must have for all Groundation fans as well as those who enjoy Reggae and Dub music. If you know the original songs by heart, it makes the dub versions even more special as you find yourself singing over the tripped out instrumentals! Big up Jim Fox for the flawless mixing/mastering. RAS Harrison Stafford thank you for the vibes.

Let me make this simple, if you like both roots and dub reggae, then you will LOVE this album that expertly combines both...especially via iTunes Plus.

Some stellar dubs of some of my favorite songs from Hebron Gate and more. Groundation make some of the most profound reggae I have ever heard and these dubs just take the cake. Crank up the music, light up a fire, and fight that Dragon!!!

As a jazz musician I was only turned on to Reggae/Dub recently, esp via Groundation...the musicianship is remarkable, some of the most solid and tasteful basslines out there. Sign of a great band/recording is that you catch new things each time you listen, Dub Wars certainly meets that standard
  • Groundation? More like, best reggae since Bob

WOW finally a dub album from GROUNDATION. They are one of the best roots reggae bands out there today. They have made like 4 albums since 1999 or so. Fans of reggae should get a hold of THEM ALL !! The deep basslines and vocals are amazing and the beautiful, sometimes haunting music will quite frankly shock reggae fans looking for a new sound. The horns are top notch and with thought provoking lyrics, and legend guest vocalists like don carlos and cedric myton from the congos, groundation is fast becoming the standard for tightly produced reggae. Now, this is their first dub album which means little or no vocals on these versions, but that will be fine with most fans, who have been waiting for these mostly instrumental gems for years !! I call them the pink floyd of reggae because the songs are so creative and tell of a greater story in some cases. They are practically the only reggae band pushing the limts musically and that is refreshing. Once you hear groundation, you're hooked !!
