Love this album, can’t recommend highly enough!
  • It’s not Lunatic, but it’s solid

I think Lunatic set the standard for true Kongos, and this isn’t quite the bullseye that Lunatic was, however. This is still a good album though. Not as driving as Lunatic but there is nothing wrong with exploring new styles and techniques. Kongos is still going strong, absolutely love all their work.

This album has so much movement and vibe...the production and mixing is absolutely on another level from most rock. So glad to have discovered this band.

I prefer the slightly less aggressive type of music and the spacey feel and I love what you guys are doing keep up the good work.

  • Not as good as Lunatic

I've read reviews of this album stating it's "more of the same" - the same sound as Lunatic. In my opinion, I could use an album MORE like Lunatic. There's too much electronic sounds in this and not enough loud drums and cool guitars. A few of the songs are downright bad and I won't be listening to them anymore, while the rest are at the least listenable and actually pretty good in a couple cases. Still, two or three good songs on an album here compared to the entirety of Lunatic being in my playlist points to lower quality here than there.

I loved Lunatic, but this album isn't nearly as good. If I had to do it again, I would only buy Take it From Me and If You Could.
