The music video for "I Still Believe" (from Carey's 1998 compilation, #1's) is Mariah's homage and tribute to legendary Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. With the help of film director Brett Ratner, Mariah channeled Marilyn's 1954 performance for military soldiers at the 3rd U.S. Inf. Div area during the Korean War. Every last detail, from hair and make-up to Monroe-esque gestures, were incorporated into the video making this one of Mariah's best!
