Fake Love music video encapsulates a ton of references to the BTS Universe. Every detail has an explanation & meaning to why it’s there. Suga & the fire, JHope & the snickers, Jimin & the water…. Etc. But what you need to know about the song is that the imagery in the video in a way portrays puppets, marionettes dancing of some sort….. it talks about fake love, it’s about how we become beautiful creatures that pleased our partners, become perfect in their eyes, alone making sacrifices to maintain the status of the relationships … but then they recent us because we’re not who they fell in love with, we molded to their needs. We painfully find out that we lost ourselves & wasted time trying to please someone that didn’t deserve it & betrayed the most important person in the world on their behalf, ourselves. The whole album deals from beginning to end about this powerful conclusion.
