  • Dark and Beautiful Score

This movie really moved me, and the score was something I immediately connected with....the score is dark, haunting and moody...and fits in perfectly with the feel of this movie. If anyone was expecting a childhood tale of seeing Noah with a long beard and saving the animals - this is far more introverted, and the movie and score left me feeling a sense of awe weeks after seeing the movie and hearing the score - don't think twice - get this soundtrack - it will move you!

This is not even close to being good film music.

A great reminder of how stupid, ridiculous and absurd religion is. Do not buy this score, do not watch this movie. All you’re doing is allowing people to profit off of the poison that feeds American minds and convinces people that fictional morality belongs in the 21st century.

Having said that, this is a great score. After seeing the movie, one of the many things I really took notice of was the great score. I'm not too familiar with Clint Mansell's work but this score was both haunting and beautiful. Really reminds me of The Assassination of Jesse James score. Which gave the movie such a dark feel, and the beauty part makes you feel it as such, as the case in the track Day and Night Shall Not Cease at the end of the movie. I really enjoyed this score.

Hard to judge something so well tailored to what was not Aronofsky’s best work, but there’s a theme seeded here that grows and finally blossoms into something exquisite. The ‘you will bear children’ track is one of the best because it’s so different from the rest, and sounds more like Mansell than a backdrop to the OTT film. Just wish there were an instrumental version of ‘Mercy Is’.
  • A fitting score for a chaotic, claustrophobic film.

From the very first track of the soundtrack, you'd know this is not a score for a kiddie-friendly PG-13 movie. Frantic, a bit too melodramatic sometimes, this definitely is an Aronofsky film, and the score fits into the tone of the film. This score slightly lacks the sentimental power of The Fountain score, but still is a remarkable one.
  • HUGE score rollar coaster of emotion and water and stone.
