Wright's lost masterwork

This album came out in 1981, and although "Really want to Know You" was a minor hit, the entire album is fantastic pop songwriting, with some of Wrights catchiest hooks, layed on top of layers of funky keyboards, and shimmering production that highlights the man's tenor white-boy soul voice -- he hits some notes on this that astound. The album is a relentlessly upbeat paen to love, which perhaps seemed a bit out of step with the pessimissm of the time. There were a number of potential hits on this, and it's aged really well. You could mix any of a number of tunes off this album into a club mix and have people asking "who is that?" This is an example of where ITunes shines, because, believe it or not, this album has been out of print for years, and is basically unavailable anywhere but here.
