Jim Brickman wrote a beautiful song and it is absolutely beautiful the way Johnny sings it. I've listened to this song several times a day since first hearing it, and never get tired of listening. His voice still enchants - have always loved his singing. It wouldn't be Christmas without one of his CD's playing.

This album is not a recompilation the previous Christmas songs. Johnny's voice is still magic. The arrangements are in line with his recent Nashville album "Let It Be Me" with new songs not previously recorded. A solid hit, Johnny, especially the duets.

As a previous reviewer wrote, it's been 55 years since Mathis' first Christmas album. It's quite amazing how, unlike most other singers of his era, his voice is undiminished. Decorate the Night is a particularly lovely addition to his Christmas offerings.

This cd is a great album, well arranged and produced, Johnny sounds in good voice except for one song, “Do You Hear What I Hear” he sounds a little short of breath and seems to have trouble holding the notes. the overall theme of this album is traditional save for “This Is A Time For Love” which is contemporary pop that Johnny handles quite well. The duet partners work well and don’t seem that unlikely and Billy Joel is also in great voice. Johnny given his christmas catalog had recorded these songs in years past and the re-visiting the chestnuts re-arranged and with duet partners refreshens the carols. Very nice Johnny.

If my mom were still living today she would be thrilled to hear this CD. She was the biggest Mathis fan on the planet. His voice sounds great and the audio quality of this recording is beyond supreme! It features duets with Billy Joel, Gloria Estefan, and Natalie Cole. It is really, really good. It will be this year's earmark Christmas CD and will no doubt become a classic in my house in the years to come.
