I think bht hit the nail on the head. The interpretation is exactly as I see it

She didn’t have to be as good as anyone , she was very good as herself and her clear crystal voice pierced a generation of listeners through their hearts and into their heads , a sound this collection brings back and makes real. You can forget how good she was but every so often it is right to remember.
  • An excellent collection

Judy Collins was not as original as Joni Mitchell; her voice was not quite as good as Joan Baez (though some may disagree); her Dylan interpretations were good but not revelatory. Still, Judy Collins’ body of work, anthologized here, includes moments and touchpoints for a generation or two.
