My husband and i used to go to the planitarium on Sunday afternoons to watch the shows. The intro music was so relaxing and purfect to put you into the mood for the show. I asked about the music and was told about Ray Lynch. We bought his album on casette (that was before CDs) and played them until the tape stretched and played saggy. I always want to dance when I hear it, even though I have no rhythem. The music just flows through with grace and nurtures your soul.

In 1989 Ray Lynch produced what is one of the landmark recordings of ambient music. No Blue Thing sparkles on many levels, but the two stand-outs are Drifted in a Deeper Land and the beautifullyy romantic, Evening, Yes.
The wedding of classical, electronic, romantic and space music all work well on this one, and after two decades...it sound does not feel dated...

My daughter turned me onto Ray Lynch and his unique music. "No Blue Thing" was the first of his albums I bought, and it has remained one of my favorites. The title song never fails to set my toes a-tappin' to its happy, lilting beat, and that is merely the beginning. "Homeward at Last" continues the free spirited tempo of "Blue" while "Here and Never Found" is almost symphonic in its mood. As with many of Mr. Lynch's compositions, those on this album are creatively crafted, ever changing and at times unexpected. The listener is in a state of anticipation, never sure what lies around the corner but always pleasantly surprised. The album concludes with "The True Spirit of Mom and Dad", a satisfying blend of quiet grandeur and playafully echoing strains all pulled together with a pleasing climax. Treat your senses by buying this album.

No wonder this album won two Billboard Awards. The music vibrates, is happy and uplifting, and showcases what a fine composer and musician Ray Lynch is.
