You HAVE to see them live and feel the vibez… Each musician brings such a unique, refined, and calculated sound palette to the stage and the recordings that will prove to be legendary. IMO Ring of Berlin is a testament.

The most exciting release from JBB since Spirits.

This is a decent modern dub album - which is something that is sadly rare these days. If you're a big JBB fan and are new to dub it's worth the purchase. If, however, you are looking for 5 star dub I'd tend to steer you towards the classics like Super Ape, Garvey's Ghost, African Dub Almighty Chapter 3, King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown or Heavyweight Dub Champion. One quick correction to an earlier review.... saying that "the history of reggae is not very old" is pretty misleading. Reggae is roughly 50 years old now.

I'm with ~OM~. How could a reggae band release a dub album without vocals? Well, the last song has Elliot on vocals, but nevermind that. Also, how could they release two EP's in a row? Is that even legal?

This album is absolutely sick. A long time coming from JBB. It reminds me of some of the old dub they used to rip on the albums among them and this day. They would never play the instrumental dub tracks live so it's nice to hear some new cuts. Well worth the $6

John Brown's Body is quite possibly one of my favorite bands of all time. With that said I'm extremely disappointed that this is only an EP and that there's no lyrics in any of the songs. Sure I'll buy it anyway and just wait for them to come out with a full-length album hopefully within the next year or or so.
