  • Sing it out Mac!!

I never realized there were so many "perfect Christians" writing reviews about their idea of perfect Christian behavior. Was Christ a drunkard who slummed with sinners? Pull the plank out of your own eyes, those without sin.

As far as quality of music and vocals, the album is good. Mac has been blessed with an amazing voice and musical talent. I remember another great Christian artist Russ Taft, formerly of The Imperials and also a great Christian Soloist. He decided it was his time to go into secular music. I remember when he announced his intentions on some music awards show. I was almost embarrassed by his obvious ego explosion. He lost his popularity in the Christian Music World and never became well known in the secular music world. The only place I have seen him since is sitting in the crowd on Gaither Homecoming Videos. God blesses obedience and destroys the prideful. I love Mac the best in his Acoustic concerts that I have attended. That is the Mac I long to see. Blessings brother.

I love the cd... I love Third Day; I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I have played Third Day's songs like " Call My Name", and " Revelation"... However on this album; I really love Julia Ann! I also love the Christmas music, " offerings", and "Wire"... I also think that "Move" has many country notes and feelings... awesome! I am so thankful that God (Jesus), put you down here and the rest of your band members like, Tai, Mark, Brad, David, and everyone else... also the others in the country albums! Be encouraged; God is doing awesome things for His KIngdom through all of yinz... Jesus bless you guys!

  • A suggestion for Mac Powell

Mac Powell is one of the best, if not the very best, male vocalist of our time. As a fan I search for any song I can find that he is singing and that otherwise appeals to me. Although this is a very fine album, I would like to suggest that he consider a different back up singer. Something about the combination of the vocals on this album detracts from the very special nature of Mac's voice.

Ahhh, I'm just so in love with this mans voice & his outstanding music. What an incredible artist spreading his wings and sharing his creative gift with people that might not otherwise sample his music. Beautiful, simple, toe tapping, hum along country music at it's finest. Mac Powell's songs are such a blessing. Rock on!!

I have a problem with some of the negative ratings given to this album and attacking Mac Powell for not singing "Strictly" Christian music. I am a Christian & see no problem whatsoever with singing secular songs. Read the Song of Soloman in the Bible; Soloman is singing about his Wife and his wife is singing about him. These songs are about love, & life, no different than secular love songs of today. Do think God has a problem with this? I think not!

This album has upbeat songs, powerful meaning behind the lyrics, and is all around a fun album!!!! I don't feel the need to skip a track with this album!!!!

This is for all the critics of Mac for doing this album. 1. This album planted the seed and lead me back to Church and The Lord after 33 years, Thank You Mac. It was also awesome to meet you in Jonesboro after I drove 16 hours to see Third Day which I would have never even heard of if it wasn't for this album. 2. The songs people are critical of are about his family, did you not even listen to the lyrics? Sweet Georgia Girl (About His Wife) June Bug (About His Daughter) Julia Anne (About His Grandma) Saturday Night (We are allowed to have Fun) Carry You and Hold On to Me (Could have been on a TD album) I got the double meanings. Could be about a Man or Jesus. My Love for You Remains (Time Flies, Let the people you love know before your time is up) I wish I had the ability to get this album in stores because it is totally awesome and it pains me that I see Third Day CDs at the major stores but not his Country CD. I have bought every CD from Third Day after purchasing his Country CD, so for me personally this CD changed my life for the better and I would drive another 16 hours to see Mac Powell sing his country songs, I hope that dream comes true in 2014.
