I am utterly surprised that more people do not know about this amazing artist. Her pieces really do make you feel as if you are I'm a dream. Very worth the buy.

This is one of the finest instrumental symphonic recordings of contemporary classical of the past 30 years. Suzanne Ciani has always been able to get to the emotional core of music without words with just a piano. However, this was her next evolution as an artist with the Young Russia Orchestra capturing the true emotion of this album and creating a soundtrack of your life. I cannot tell you how many copies of this album I have bought over the past 15 years for friends & family. I gave a copy to my sister at the birth of my niece so she could introduce the peaceful emotion this music evokes while creating new memories. The opening number, "Meeting Mozart" instantly introduces you to one of the most dramatic & emotional songs Ciani has ever composed and will instantly conjure up memories from your past. You will carry this album with you and the melodies for many, many years. Even though Suzanne Ciani has an international following and composing all styles of music(much of it with a hint of European or Italian elegance), this album feel strangely very American with a New England zest. Listen to "Lime Marmalade Revelerie" and it conjures up Boston Harbour or the feeling of winter in areas like Vermont. Ultimately, it is the ballads that will stay with you and evoke the most emotion. If you are reading a good book or dealing with personal issues, Dream Suite will help you work through them from beginning to end. It is an excellent example of so-called "New Age" artists (which I have never liked the term as it evokes a modern hippie) who show their complete potential with a work that is beyond excellent and is big & sweeping like a major motion picture soundtrack without the throwaway tracks as background music. Every song on this album counts. I have been waiting for years to a follow-up as she has done with her solo piano series "Pianissimo" series, of a symphonic sequel. However, I am grateful we will always have this wonderful album that is sterling example of the power of contemporary symphony with dream-like compositions.
