after having this LP and then no longer having access to my huge album collection due to having moved way too many times, i rediscovered it once it was remastered and released on CD. the hits like Blowing Away, Skinny Man, Workin' on a Groovy Thang, along with the rest are a constant revelation even in this digital age. but if you really want to hear an amazing song (that went unnoticed by me probably cuz it was a B side to one of the hit singles), do yourself a favor and buy Wings of Heaven should you be unacquainted with this group's prodigious talent

In the summer of '68-'69, The 5th Dimension were our "cross-over" group and thankfully so.. Long Live the 5th Dimension!!!!!

I remember distinctly hearing this album for the first time when I was nine years old living in Hawai'i. I thought they were the best vocal group I had ever heard and I was hooked. The Fifth Dimension are a great harmonizing soft rock band that throws you back to a time when adventure (Apollo Moon missions) and political upheaval (Vietnam War) were the major headlines of the time. Great sounds and memories!!

Wedding Bell Blues by The 5th Dimension. Strong vocals for a great female artist. Certainly appealling with anybody called Bill. The lyrics 'I love you' have a appealling vocal tone not heard often.

I practically grew up on this album! My parents loved the 5th Dimension and no Saturday afternoon family hang was complete without a spin of "The Age of Aquarius." Who knew that I would live to see the actual alignment of the stars in that amazing song? Once I learned how to run the record player on my own, my favorite song was "Wedding Bell Blues." Sweeping, stage-show lyrics and attack, Wedding Bell Blues meshed all of the incongruities of my little life : blues, hippy sensibilities, Zoom, Big Blue Marble, Shaft, The Mothership, love of school, and yes, Methodist hymns. There is something unusual in this group's stylings that is remarkably calming and delightful without making you think: "sell outs." So buy this and rediscover the sound of hip old school hope.
