  • Sounds like 300

Yes, I know that Tyler Bates also did the 300 soundtrack, but the music from Watchmen seems to resemble it... nonetheless, it is very good.
  • The sum will probably (hopefully) be greater than the parts of the whole

I greatly dislike techno-sounding music so this track does nothing for me, but one must also remember that it is from a FILM SCORE meaning that it wasn't written to be listened to like this primarily. With the film footage, dialogue, and sound effects, this should only add to the scene and enhance the experience. Others here were making mention of Zimmer and his work on Dark Knight. That score is one that can be enjoyed without the film but there too, when coupled with the onscreen images, it becomes much stronger than it is on it's own. So, while I don't like this track as listening music, behind Watchmen, it will probably work nicely with the film.
  • It works.

This song fits for the Prison Fight. People just need to realize not every single one of their own "visions" of the Watchmen universe can be satisfied. And I'm glad we're getting a superhero movie that is different. the score will difinitely show that difference. From the sound of this song, it's not cliched and is perfect for a fight scene.
  • Very Cool

The song sounds all pumped an exciting and it seems to fit really well with the scene in the comic. Tyler Bates did a really good job. I for one, am pleased to actually listen to a score that is really fast paced and techno.

No matter which way you look at it, this track isn't very good. Just a bunch of bland techno-vomit.
  • It fits.

I think most people are expecing a more "Hans Zimmer"-esque song for this scene, but Tyler Bates is no Hans Zimmer. No offense to him. This movie also isn't the Dark Knight. It may not be a great song in and of itself, but I think it will fit in this movie. Think of all the other fight scenes Zack Snyder has directed, and insert Watchmen. It will work.
  • seems great to me...

I like the score and it sounds like something that would fit with the prison fight pretty well, and I read the comic also! I just think this movie isnt going to be what the hardcore fans of the graphic novel are looking for, its not gonna be as spot on to the comic as they would like...
  • Doesn't sound "Watchmen" like!

Im a fan of the novel and after reading it again and listening to this song...I just don't see it. The song sounds rather cheesy and not in tune to the prison scene at all. I dont know, all the songs ive heard for the soundtrack don't fit to me...I don't know! Tyler Bates was amazing in the 300 soundtrack, I sure hope his ego didn't affect his amazing scoring abilities. I'd hate to watch such a great movie, and hate the music!
