I first found out about the immense talent that is Nate Smith through jazz supergroups such as Potter's Underground and the Dave Holland Quintet. And after hearing "Monday Morning" I immediately bought this CD, and have been in awe of it since. Nate blends hip harmonies with funky beats, and some serious vocal talent. I HIGHLY recommend this CD to all!!

Great tunes, killer production. I just wish it was an LP instead of an EP. Also eagerly awaiting Vol. 2....

This album is ridiculously dope and creative. Mixing R&B, neo-soul, hip-hop, and electronica it is slightly beyond category. Nate Smith is a musician of very diverse influences and his album shows how well he can fuse them all together. The single track, "Monday Morning", is a soulful take with a fresh beat that breaks out of the 4/4 metric gridlock of many R&B/Soul tracks, but doesn't stray away from groove head banging in any way. Cop this for sure, trust me on this one people.
