I too, have been looking for the whole song with the spoken intro on," Don't Try to Lay No Boojie Woojie On the King of Rock and Roll". If anyone has found it, please post the info so we can obtain this wonderful cut. The background music to his spoken word is great! Thanks

On the single "Dont Try To Lay No Boogie Woogie On the King Of Rock and Roll" I was very DISSAPOINTED, For the first part of the song totally removed!* * -It was the best part of the song. I dont understand the logic behind the industry -Why screw with it if it aint broken? You know something -With all of these special interest groups getting their little feelings hurt -This is just another stupid decision made by the merchindising industry. Its a great little tune otherwise.

I wish iTunes had IT AIN'T EASY, but this is a good taste of what Long John Baldry can do. The spoken intro leading into Boogie Woogie is nice to have. LJB influenced so many people in the sixties and he still sounds great today. For $3.99, this is a great intro to a seminal figure in the British Blues movement.

This is classic "Whire Boy Blues." Old British blues in the vein of Savoy Brown and Long John Baldry were the beginnings of the fusion between rock and blues. Way ahead of its time.

I had the pleasure of booking and working with Long John Baldry with Kathi McDonald ( Big Brother, Stones,...) twice in the eighties. Complete and total excess and fun. "Nothing exceeds like excess and vodka. Sorry that's redundant." If you enjoy this music, please check out John Baldry: Boogie Woogie, Warner Brothers. This is the only CD version of both "It Ain't Easy" and "Everything Stops for Tea" plus bonus tracks (13) in a single package. You have everything on one. The one I wish I had on digital was "I was standing on the corner smoking mari..juana.." That is a great album. John should be in the rock and roll hall of fame. The influence he and John Mayall had on Rock and Roll in the U.S. is not understood or appreciated.

Too bad John had to pass before we got these remasters. I have the LP and these sound great. What a flashback. LJB, I miss ya.
