The Outfield were never able to commercially top their debut effort, but their sophomore release is just as amazing as their first. Sticking to their signature melodic rock sound, they deliver another stunning collection of vocals, harmonies and electric guitar melodies, making for another excellent piece of craft. My favorites from this effort are "Somewhere In America", "Bangin' On My Heart", "No Surrender" and "Better Than Nothing".

Great second album by the Boyz. But where is Voices of Babylon??? That was their third album, which was near perfect.

While many/most groups slump in their second album, The Outfield pulls no punches. Every tune is fit to be a single, and their signature mellow pop rock sound always shines through. 'Bangin' On My Heart' and 'Moving Target' are power pop classics just as catchy and energetic as 'Your Love' from their previous album. 'Playground' and 'Long Way Home' are melancholy ballads that grab you and don't let go. 'Alone With You' is a beautiful soft rock anthem that I can never get tired of hearing. Altogether, this is a must have album!

What can you say about a group that puts out super music one album/CD at a time. During our youthful High School days here in San Antonio and while enjoying Spring Breaks '86 & '87 on the beaches of Port A and South Padre to present present day, The Outfield makes many of us feel good inside and out. My five year old already knows the words to many of The Outfield's songs. What a great band and what a great way to look back at super times as we were coming of age. SUPER MEMORIES & SUPER MUSIC seem to always go hand and hand.

This album was second only to Play Deep by The Outfield. This is a must have for anyone who loved the outfield. This album brings back memories of cruising and listening to this cassette...

This was one of my first cassettes, and I listened to it over and over on my Walkman. Still makes me feel great after all these years. Great beat and melodies, fun and energetic!
