I find myself coming back to this album again and again. Its a beautiful heartfelt recording in every way. The choice of material and performances are just right. It has a calming influence over me every time I listen to it. Mostly made up of ballads, it never gets schmaltzy. Well done, Alan. I rank this among your very best!

I love this album it is so romantic and jazzy. Alison Krauss is the most talented artist alive and she did such a great job with this album. Alan sounds so great doing the tender stuff, Remember When is still my favorite of his singles but this album is my favorite of his albums.

Alan shows in this piece of work, that he can easily sing a Love Song and still remain true to his Traditional roots in Country Music. This shall one day be seen as some of Alan's better work, my opinon. A Great one for listening and just enjoying. "A Woman's Love" is a Beautiful Song & One of my favorites. Alan shows his range in all these songs and isn't afraid to do so.I admire him for doing this great work. Alison Krauss' producing was showing Alan's range in this one! Alan will always stay true to Traditional Country Music, it reflects who he is and whom he writes about. He is one of the best writers of "simple Songs" as he calls them, but they are much more . They touch hearts. Alan's voice & instruments used, is so great in these songs, Alan really puts his heart in these Songs and isn't afraid to show his feelings. I simply love this one! Next an uptempo one is perfect!

I found this cd by mistake and I'm thrilled I did. It is, by far, the best cd I've purchased this year. 'Anywhere On Earth You Are' and 'Wait a Minute' are flawless. Love the whole bluesy, jazzy, countryfied sound. Alison Krauss did an amazing job producing this. Buy it! You will not be disappointed.

This is not the album to play when your buddies are over. This isn't an album to play while driving, despite having "A Trucker's Song" on it. This isn't an album that you want to take to work, listen to during the daytime or play for the kids. This album was, however, made for one purpose: setting "the mood" for you and your lover to pour some wine and unwind. Alison Krauss's production sets and keeps a smoldering, intimate atmosphere and showcases Alan Jackson's vocals in a light not seen on his other works produced by Keith Stegall. Other Jackson works are singles-oriented, and therefore generally catchy and fun; "Like Red on a Rose," however, is Jackson's greatest achievement, artistically speaking.

This is by far Alan Jackson's best album, as long you enjoyed slower country music. Very easy listening on the ears.
