I like the CD. OK so its not from the early days or no Lenny Williams but its still Tower and the funk and backline is solid. I like all the songs especially the groove on Deal With It.

1st off TOP is great! On every album there is at least 1 or 2 songs that one cannot help to just feel deep down in your gut if you LOVE the F-U-N-K. For me, "By Your Side" is the track on this album. This may not be their best album as a whole, but I'll put a couple of these tracks up there to stand up with any of their other work.

I loved this album in the 70's and still do. Its my favorite of theirs .TOP never plays any of the songs in concert. Wish they did. I know their new singer wouldnt sound the same so they should get someone to sing those tracks.I was 16 when it came out so it beat th hell out of disco back then. it was big in so cal
  • Must Have For TOP Fans

Definitely not on a par with Back to Oakland or the all time best Urban Renewal, and certainly a let down from long standing lead singer Lenny Williams, this is, nonetheless, if not their best effort, an album that any self-respecting TOP fan must have in his or her collection. Yes, it's a little watered down, and yes, it's often trite and off the mark...but it's TOP. Therefore, you must own it.
  • Eddie's an Egotistical Jerk

The only tracks worth listening to on this album are "Ain't Nothin'" and "You Ought to Be Having Fun." I was in a horn band with McGee in the late '80s early '90s and he was a drag. A few members of my group went to see Tower and they mentioned that Eddie was in our group. The band said, "good luck." This album almost did kill Tower.
