Herb Alpert has made a name for himself over the decades for creating happy, feel good music. That same feeling is demonstrated on this album where the 87 year-old trumpeter plays a mix of originals and standards in his own unique style. Opening up the album is "Childhood", a melodic ballad in 6/8. The Alpert originals are the better songs, such as "Goo Goo Eyes", "Tickle Time" and the playful "Sneaky Pete". The highlight of the album is clearly "Here She Comes", which harkens a bit back to the old Tijuana Brass days. The album closes with the title tune, a somewhat Dixie-ish duet with pianist Bill Cantos. A fun album.
