  • I still cannot get over her Golden Gate ...

... I mean as Leonard Cohen's girlfriend I wonder is he driving the car? That would change the entire song right?

Wow. This may quite simply be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I've listened to it for years now, and am continually astonished. Anjani sings this perfectly, sublimely. Leonard's complex lyrics give it the staying power to be played time and again, year after year, and never get stale. It may also be the best romantic date album of all time. Light the candles, get a great wine, light a fire in the fireplace and make something special of your evening.

What a mood changer! Some music, like this, just immediately becomes you. Very few artists have that force. Wow!

The whole album had a seemless flow of a gentle wave. Nothing too fast... something good to listen to while sitting in front of the fire before bed

I am as big a fan of Leonard Cohen as they come, but even as such one has to admit that his songs lack in dynamic variety, especially in the last decade or so. While Anjani has a very nice voice and subtly exquisit delivery, at times she compounds the excessive languor of Cohen's sluggish pace, without adding the edge that he brings into play. I bought two songs (Thanks for the Dance and Crazy to Love You), and for me that's more than enough Anjani for the time being. At her recent show in New York's Joe's Pub, the audience response was as muted as the songs, except when Cohen himself stepped in to help. A good album, but way too sedated.

I gotta get back to the CD so this wil be short but I LOVED THIS!! It's more what i wanted Norah Jones to be with her 2nd and thrid CD's but she didn't deliver (no one can replace Jones). I love this!!

I'm not a big fan of Jazz, I am a huge Cohen fan though so I gave this a try. WOW Her voice matches his passion and depth on every level. I'm not disappointed he didn't sing on this one. She has a fantastic range and I highly suggest this one even to those who, like me, aren't jazz fans. If you liked Jennifer Warnes "Famous Blue Raincoat" you'll like this.

I am honored to be the first to write something about this album. Anjani sings beautifully. Very mellow. Very sad. Very poetic. Very Lenny. It is a perfect addition to any Cohen fan's collection. ...I raise my glass to the union of LC and Anjani.
