I highly suggest listening to the album for free on YouTube before considering to buy it or not. “We are One” has some dialogue in it which tells you in a way what the theme of the song is and what it’s about. Although it is a good message, it still takes away the personal interpretation of the music and projects it’s own them and message for you.
I’m glad I didn’t purchase this album.

Thomas responded to one of my comments on Facebook with something like "I threw out the rulebook for Humanity."
Thomas continues to break ground by trying new things- and he succeeds once again. Sun was a hard album to follow up to, but i feel like once all 8 Humanity chapters are released, Thomas will be at an even greater level. Mountaincall is my favorite. The vocalist does a good job but I always enjoy just the instruments. Bag pipe, Electric Guitar, and a Flute (I think)?! Yep, Thomas makes it work.
You cant go wrong here.

When I first learned that Thomas Bergersen was going to release a sequel to Sun I was beyond excited since it’s my favorite album of any genre. I never thought I’d say this, but I think Sun has a run for it’s money with this one. It’s perfection and every track is better than the one before.
Get this if you enjoy Bergersen’s music at its finest

I first encountered Two Steps From Hell about 5 years ago. From there, it didn’t take long for me to hone in on the work of Thomas Bergersen. With each new album, I found myself pulled into something more than just a musical collection of songs. I found myself pulled into a journey. Humanity is no different. Humanity is everything you would hope to find from the mind of an artisan. Each song is layered with melodies, harmonies, instrumentation, and stories that urge you to go deeper and explore more. There are so many styles at work on this album, but at the core is all the depth you’d expect from Thomas. As one track ends, you find yourself anxious for the next to begin, for the story to continue. The message is one of unity and hope. This album is about breathing new life into humanity (much like the music video for L’Appel Du Vide). Thomas truly is one of the musical prodigies of our day.
