I can't believe they had the nerve to compare this guy's voice to the great Raphael Saadiq! Theboth have soft voices and have a bit of similarity in terms of tone, but this guy's voice is nothing compared to Raphael's. Even Slim from 112 who they also compared him to has a better voice. Raphael had soul, and he had a great voice that went perfect with his style of r&b, and even though his voice was on the softer side he could really sing and delivery great r&b songs like Anniversary. This guy has no soul to his voice whatsoever, it is plain, fine for pop music but not for r&b which they claim he is. He also can't really sing and is probably a product of computers to make him sounds as good as he does which is still pretty poor. This album is still somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me, it's nothing special but a few songs, especially Raindrops, I find myself listening to from time to time. But it is mostly because of the melodies and production, his voice is about as ordinary and generic and soul-less as they come. His first two albums had some decent r&b to them, but then he just fell apart and everything was trash, this is because as the review pointed out he never had his own style, he just followed trends, and he can't really sing that well. Even his contemperaries of his time, like Pleausre P, J Holiday, Trey Songz and others have far better voices and can outsind and outr&b him anyday. This guy is definitely a follower of The-Dream pretty heavy, some of the songs actually sound like The-Dream produced them, and Dream himself was never that great or special, or even real r&b as far as I am concerned. That's why 10+ years later nobody is listening to him and Jeremih, yet we still listen to Raphael and some of the 90's r&b greats, and all the r&b legends of the 60's, 70's, and 80's, because thir music was timeless, unlike this kind of music which is really only good for clubs or parties, usually if a song is designed souly for clubs or that sort of thing it means that the song is not that good to begin with.have s
