His earlier albums had such depth and feeling. After listening to a couple of tracks on this album I feel like i need to take a chill pill. Needless to say I still believe he is extremely talented. Maybe next time release an Anxiety version along with a Chill version.

Very moving album. Every song is a stand out, and all compositions work well together. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

So much of his music feels like an auditory assault on the eardrums and this album is no different. Like a tone deaf but highly ambitious teenager turned loose in a sound lab to “make some music”. Folks let’s just get it out there alright? I don’t want to listen to music that feels like somebody opened my skull up and dropped a musical chainsaw with chimes attached to it to bounce down through the confines of my brain. (Brian Eno does this too. A lot. And he did it with Hopkins in Small Craft in a Milk Sea which constitutes an aggravated assault on eardrums. All the obnoxious chirps and static in this music. What is this stuff. It’s horrible. He must have had all his friends log in to boost the ratings. This is “music” made by someone who is quite clearly mentally ill. I wouldn’t listen to it again if you PAID me to. Fortunately I listened for free since I am an Apple family plan music subscriber.
  • Great follow-up to Immunity

I was a bit disappointed with this album on my first listen, but I think that's because I had the wrong expectations going in. Immunity was a masterpiece, and I was expecting more of the same with this album. Singularity takes things in a different direction though, and it has really, really grown on me with each subsequent listening. Great music to just kind of lay back and get lost in. Really takes you on a journey.

This one has resonated with me like nothing since Burial’s Untrue. Easily 10-12 listens already, and know I’ll becoming back to it for years to come. Well done Jon.

Not really feeling transcendental in any way; cliched title scraping for self-importance, courtesy of self indulgent gold coast navel gazing; don't be a hater? Don't be so boooooooooooring...

It doesn’t get any better than this guy for me. Melody? Stellar. Production? Insane. So glad he’s back. Really moving, beautifully arranged...best release of the year, and Mr Hopkins’ career. Front to back, it’s a work of art.
