    This music really relaxes me. Both flute and santoor are very soothing. Easy to listen to.

  • A sequel to 'Call of the Valley', after 30 years!

    This album is a recording of the live concert held in Bombay, India (Dec 1995) - featuring the great maestros Shivkumar Sharma & Hariprasad Chaurasia. It took around 30 years for them to perform together after 'Call of the Valley' (1967) which had, in a way, launched their (as well as Brijbhushan Kabra's) musical career. The music here is deeply relaxing and spontaneous. 'Peace' with its chords and free flow is rendered in a popular style, not in a typical Indian way. Other two tracks are more Indian in nature - 'Love' is based on the light classical raga 'Pahadi' and Harmony is based on the raga 'Bhairavi'. Bhairavi always gives a fitting finale to any rendition of Indian music. This is a great choice for relaxation/meditation/work-out - 70+ minutes of soft and easy listening music... I can even say this music is very therapeutic. Highly recommended for peace loving folks.
