The iTunes reviewer knows nothing. He makes it sound as if Torme' is in his twlight here. He went on to win many grammys, for years after this.

Torme does not do a "familiar impression" of Ella Fitzgerald on Route 66. Ella never recorded the song, and scat singing was not unique to her.

This album has on MUST song for any jazz collection - Route 66. No better example of scat EVER, period. This is how scat is done and its like none, the bonus is it's done by the great one, the Velvet Fog.
