Used this book about a year ago to quickly transition to the DA40. I’d highly recommend it. Bonus points for the continued updates of the book.

I’ve been flying a DA-40 for almost ten years (sixteen hundred hours). This is everything you need to know to be comfortable in one, with nothing extraneous to slow you down. If you are about to buy one, or rent one, or just go flying in one with a friend who has one, I suggest grabbing this book. In an afternoon you’ll be familiar with everything vital. I’ve also been reading John’s aviation writing for nearly as long and he has a clear, precise manner that is perfect for the subject.
