Description

The epic conclusion to Ann Aguirre's USA Today bestselling trilogy.

The horde is coming.

Salvation is surrounded, monsters at the gates, and this time, they're not going away. When Deuce, Fade, Stalker and Tegan set out, the odds are against them. But the odds have been stacked against Deuce from the moment she was born. She might not be a Huntress anymore, but she doesn't run. With her knives in hand and her companions at her side, she will not falter, whether fighting for her life or Fade's love.

Ahead, the battle of a lifetime awaits. Freaks are everywhere, attacking settlements, setting up scouts, perimeters, and patrols. There hasn't been a war like this in centuries, and humans have forgotten how to stand and fight. Unless Deuce can lead them.

This time, however, more than the fate of a single enclave or outpost hangs in the balance. This time, Deuce carries the banner for the survival of all humanity.

This book is like the best out of all three but why did she kill off Stalker?! Also why in the world is Tegan so blind to Morrows love for her😜

This book was simply amazing. It was a perfect ending to a wonderful series. The character development throughout this final book was inspiring and the battles vivid. My only issue with this book was the length. It could have been a lot longer or it could have been easily split into two books. I wish there were more battles and stories about their time in the woods. But overall this book was amazing.

Stalker was one of my favorite characters and then he died. It made me so sad when I read that and if Stalker lived I think it would've been much better. Stalker could've killed the Freak that was trying to kill Tegan but instead he didn't and he just died. I loved everything else though.

I literally never write reviews but with this book I had to! I immediately got sucked into this series and while I was extremely excited for the release of the last book, I worried that it would disappoint. However I am glad to admit I was very very wrong! From the ending that played out for each character to the way all the events tied together this book was perfect! The author did such a good job concluding the series that I couldn't help but to leave my opinion for anyone who cared enough to read it.

A great end to a great story. The author kept up with the story from the pervious book of the series. I liked the way she tied up all the loose ends and explained why and how things happened. I will be recommending this book to everyone.
  • This is how a series should end...

Yes, I admit to being saddened that this tale has ended but, oh, what a satisfying way to go! Unlike some books which will remain nameless (series-end dropped a week ago) where the author killed off the beloved MAIN character and is surprised when everyone is mad...but I digress. This book was a beautiful ending to a wonderful series and I take great joy in recommending it to anyone. I've never actually written a recommendation before but almost felt it was my duty because the author did such a good job with her research, her prose, character development and just the awesome way she respected her characters and the reader. I felt I had to gush to someone, anyone, so here I am. Read Enclave and Outpost and then buy this book, go, now, you won't be sorry.

Spoilers... Beware :) I loved this series and this was a great end to the trilogy. The author did an amazing job a wrapping up all of the loose ends in this book and it feels so good to be attached to characters that the author graciously decided to leave alive and well at the end... It was satisfying and left me feeling glad that I hadn't given up on ready after so many disappointments in the way that authors seemed fit to end their books. Ann earned a life long fan today :)
