I really can't believe that this is available for 4 bucks. This was my 3rd attempt at Moby Dick (the first 2 failed during the "Cetalogical chapters"), and I found that the extra media really helped me paint mental images and made it really fun to read. I'd say it made the book much less intimidating and much more enjoyable. As it should be! I hope there are more classics done this way. War and Peace, anyone!?

Normally I don't think the value of e-books is worth while. However this experience has changed my mind completely. The interactivity, added content, professional video and animation quality, and just plain fun of reading this new version of Moby Dick has finally forced me into the new digital age of e-books.

it's still a long read, but this ibook has some really interesting interviews with experts about who Melville was, what life was like for whalers during the time and lots of pretty prints and photographs. Totally worth the 4 bucks.
